2011 Mazda Verisa goes on sale in Japan from today. The tall subcompact hatch, which is pretty much the Japanese equivalent of Europe’s Ford Fiesta (previous generation) -based Fusion.
Enters the 2011MY with some modest updates, include the introduction of new colors for both the fabric and leather seats, a revised instrument panel that includes a fuel consumption gauge and an “eco-lamp” to support economical driving, restyled hub caps and improved standard equipment on some model grades.
The Mazda Verisa is equipped the standard, check out the list below:

Maybe the new Mazda Shinari Concept will heading to next month’s Paris Motor Show – but I’m not sure yet.
Mazda report that the Shinari is the collaborative result of Mazda’s US, German and Japanese design studios. Aside from being a very tasty proposal for a rotary-powered sports sedan in the so-called “four-door coupe” category, the concept’s design language previews the styling of future / next generation Mazda vehicles.
This design will lead to the next generation of Mazda design and will lead to other elements,” Ikuo Maeda, general manager of Mazda Motor Corp.’s design division, told reporters at the event.
Mazda BT-50 makes worldwide debut at this week’s Australian International Motor Show in Sydney together with Ford Ranger. The BT-50′s exterior design is more funky than it’s Ford sibling.
The Japanese automaker’s iteration of the compact pickup truck theme gets its own unique exterior cues and interior styling inspired by the firm’s passenger car range. About the interior which is said to feature all the accommodations of a passenger car.
2012 Mazda BT-50 offers all the functionality required for business use combined with passenger car-like comfort for family use; and for active customers in Australia and Europe, it is the perfect answer for all kinds of outdoor leisure activities. the All-New Mazda BT-50 will raise the bar in the utility segment and for the first time provide a realistic alternative to the family wagon and 4×4 SUV.
About technical details, buyers should expect a similar engine range to the new Ford Ranger, just click here!
The new Mazda2 is driving enjoyment, not fuel efficiency, and the Mazda2 is proof that a small, slow, inexpensive car can be fun to drive quickly. Compared to the next largest Mazda, the MX-5 Miata, the Mazda2 is 1.8 inches shorter (155.5 inches) and an inch narrower (66.7 inches), yet it’s also 8.7 inches taller (58.1 inches).
2011 Mazda2’s exterior wears its shrunken lines quite well. Its 15-inch alloy wheels fitted with 185/55 R15 Yokohama all-season tires fill up those small wheel wells nicely without being swallowed by the fenders. There’s also a soft shoulder line that begins below the top of the front wheels and rises precipitously to above the taillights.
The rear is the least expressive angle, though a roof spoiler does manage to whisper Mazda’s hyphenated catchphrase. The Crystal White Pearl paintwork of our tester also contrasted nicely with the blacked-out lower grille, fog light surrounds and rear apron, all of which manage to avoid looking cheap.
The interior gets down to brass tacks. Fun and cutesy have been left outside, replaced with somber blacks and restrained grays. In fact, a sliver of red piping on the dark, cloth-lined seats is just about the only splash of color in this otherwise midnight cabin. There are also no amenities to mess with besides the climate control and a six-speaker AM/FM/CD audio system with an auxiliary input jack.
The steering wheel tilts and the integrated audio controls don’t get in the way. The floor-mounted shifter is raised and the audio and climate controls are easy to use. One minor ding is the lack of a center armrest, something we missed on longer trips, though the comfortably cushioned seats kept our spinal columns happy.
The smallest Mazda is offered in – appropriately – two trims: Sport, starting at $14,180, and Touring at $15,635.
Our tester was a Touring model, and for the extra $1,455 came equipped with alloy wheels, halogen foglamps, rear spoiler, cruise control, the aforementioned red seat piping, steering-wheel mounted audio controls, six speakers instead of four and a trip computer. It comes down to a question of how much you’re willing to pay for a little more style and better sound, because both trim levels are light on options.
2011 Mazda2 performance using 1.5-liter inline four-cylinder producing 100 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 98 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm. It’s slow. All 100 horses propel the 2 from 0-60 miles per hour in a decidedly un-Zoom-like 10.2 seconds. The tester was fitted with a five-speed manual transmission – the standard gearbox on the 2. The 1.5-liter engine receives an EPA fuel economy rating of 29 miles per gallon in the city and 35 mpg on the highway.
The 2011 Mazda 5 has been introduced in the 2010 Geneva Motor Show on March 2 and 3, 2010. Car with a dynamic and elegant design of this will be on sale in autumn 2010. Design language, which finds inspiration in the beauty of flows found in nature.
Nagare design has appeared in certain elements of recent production models and was previously showcased through a series of concept cars. The new Mazda 5′s design achieves excellent aerodynamic characteristics with an outstanding drag coefficient and lift balance. In order to meet wide-ranging customer requirements, it also offers a high level of functionality, with dual sliding rear doors and multiple seat arrangements.
The all-new Mazda 5 with 2.0L direct injection gasoline engine and i-stop significantly reduces CO2 emissions thanks to the effective combination of i-stop, the high combustion efficiency provided by direct injection, and a six-speed manual transmission with optimized gear ratios. The new Mazda 5 cuts CO2 emissions by roughly 15 percent.
In March next new car from Mazda will appear in its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show 2010. The 2011 Mazda 6 with a family faces increased performance and fuel efficiency. And will look sporty with rear lights. The Mazda 6 also features new chassis settings and several new active safety features.
Fuel consumption is very efficient, just fill the 2.0-liter and produce fewer emissions than six engines are available. Its five-speed automatic transmission was adapted especially for this new petrol engine to deliver an optimal combination of acceleration and fuel economy. Updated versions of the Mazda MZR 1.8 and 2.5-litre engines round out the petrol line-up, and on the diesel side the Mazda MZR-CD 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine is available in three power derivatives – from 129 to 180 PS.
2010 Mazda CX-7 Diesel has a sporty style and a good chassis tuning but Mazda has a small problem with its rakish, buttoned-down CX-7 crossover with the 244hp, 2.3-liter turbocharged engine under the hood. With more than 3900 lb to haul around, the tightly wound turbo-four sucks gas like a six. The EPA mpg rating for the all-wheel drive CX-7s is an unremarkable 17/23 city/highway.
The diesel CX-7 feels more alert, yet paradoxically, more relaxed, an ideal combination for a crossover. Mazda claims the 170hp, 2.2-liter MZR-CD common-rail turbodiesel-powered CX-7 takes about 11.0 seconds to get to 60 mph. That’s a second longer than the CX-7i, and 3.3 seconds longer than the Grand Touring. So it’s far from offering the best of both worlds.
After a brief drive of the CX-7 diesel in Switzerland a couple of weeks back, we’re convinced a U.S.-spec CX-7 diesel has the potential to be one of those rare vehicles that is greater than the sum of its parts. It’s not just the gas mileage. It’s the torque. With 295 lb-ft on tap at just 2000 rpm, the MZR-CD delivers the sort of meaty launch feel American consumers love. While the 2.3-liter gas turbo, which has 258 lb-ft available at 2500 rpm, delivers a distinct pause-two-three sensation as it spools up from idle, the diesel delivers useable grunt the moment you squeeze the accelerator pedal.
In order to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Mazda, presents Biante 20S Navi Special that goes on sale today in a limited run of 400 units. But like most of Mazda’s Japanese-market 90th anniversary models, there’s nothing really special about this version of the eight-seater minivan. In fact, the only difference between the standard 20S and the 90th 20S Navi is that the latter gets a voice-controlled HDD navigation system, parking assist, and Mazda’s start and stop system as standard.
2010 Mazda Bianti 20S Navi Special is offered in Japan as a FWD model with a 2.0-liter DISI engine linked to a 5-speed auto (2,572,500 Yen) or a 4WD version with the same engine but a 4-speed auto (2,861,500 Yen).
Come the Mazda MX-5 Miyako Special Edition and on sale from July 1 in a limited number of 500 units. It is the latest special edition version of the successful roadster to make its way to British showrooms this year.
From the name, it’s borrowing from a Japanese holiday island “Miyako”. The new MX-5 Miyako is available in two flavors, the 126HP 1.8i Miyako soft-top priced at £18,385 OTR and the more powerful 160HP 2.0i Miyako roadster coupe with a folding hardtop priced at £20,885 OTR.
Both versions of the MX-5 Miyako will be available in Aluminium Silver Metallic, while the soft-top will also be offered in Velocity Red Mica -all free of charge.
2010 Mazda MX-5 Miyako use 17-inch alloy wheels, standard fog lamps and a front suspension strut brace for improved steering response. In addition, interior upgrades include Medici premium perforated black leather trim with a red underlay and stitching, special badging, floor mats and standard climate control air-conditioning.
The all-new Mazda3 MPS delivers a unique combination of even more exhilarating driving fun and everyday compact car practicality. It retains the sensational 155mph performance of its predecessor, while adopting the numerous innovations of the second-generation Mazda3 on which it is based. Improved aerodynamics give greater high-speed stability. A stiffer bodyshell, new power steering and modified suspension guarantee a compliant ride with crisp, precise responses to driver inputs. Higher gearing and the application of Mazda’s weight-reducing ‘Gram Strategy’ helps to reduce CO2 emissions by 3 percent and ensure the new model meets the stricter Euro 5 emission standards.
Our latest Mazda3 MPS is a strikingly bold design, more dynamic looking, more aggressive and more assertive than ever before. The new bonnet air-intake, new-style 18-inch alloy wheels and larger rear spoiler create the muscular, athletic look of a sprinter. Delivering sensationally spirited performance, the new Mazda3 MPS puts the heat back into the hot-hatch sector with ‘stand out’ looks that put rivals in the shade and it boasts exquisite handling and incredible dynamics.
Typical of Mazda’s engineering ethos, the new Mazda3 MPS is a very complete package – not just in terms of its enhanced powertrain and chassis upgrades, but also with regard to its very high level of standard equipment. And alongside sensational performance it will of course retain the accessibility, practicality, reliability and build quality of its sister models.
Mazda MX-5 Superlight Concept is an answer to the world of automobiles and individual mobility moving towards energy efficiency, environmental compatibility and uncompromised safety – along with dynamic attributes and driving fun.
In its efforts to offer pure driving enjoyment, while meeting its ecological and social responsibilities, Mazda has been focusing on weight reduction as a core base technology. For 20 years, reducing weight has been a tradition with the Mazda MX-5. It provided the inspiration for the radical design of Mazda’s latest show car and its radical interpretation of the cult roadster.
This year Mazda celebrates the 20th anniversary of the first Mazda MX-5 roadster, which laid the cornerstone for its Zoom-Zoom brand philosophy – reason enough for Mazda designers to create a fully-drivable show car, the Mazda MX-5 Superlight Concept. There are no plans to build this car, but it demonstrates how individual mobility can be maintained in a way that uses fewer natural resources.
Mazda’s European R+D centre in Oberursel has created a show car that represents the essence of Mazda’s fun-to-drive aspect. Based on the brand icon Mazda MX-5 Roadster, the Mazda MX-5 Superlight Concept is a pure, uncompromising two-seat sports car meant to be affordable to just about anyone. The main challenge for the design team in creating this roadster was “to evolve the MX-5, developed to perfection during the last 20 years, to a higher and extreme level,” says Project Lead Designer Hasip Girgin. The result of their efforts is a roadster show car with an exciting design that is especially lightweight and distilled down to the very basics of sporty driving, that still manages to provide modern safety technologies. In an increasingly digitalized world, it creates a linear, direct bond between man and machine. Its conceptual purity means even better driving dynamics and fuel efficiency, which is accomplished by keeping the vehicle below the 1000 kg threshold. As a show car for lightweight construction and driving enjoyment, the Mazda MX-5 Superlight Concept is the ideal ambassador for Mazda’s brand values.
